Getting started & making games

When is the next season?

Season 2 has ended. Season 3 is coming by the end of July 2026. Join the waitlist, or get Pro to skip the queue.

Do I need Roblox Studio?

No. You can make and publish without it. If you want to open your game in Studio later, you can, but you do not have to.

Do I sign in with Roblox? It shows a "high risk" warning.

Yes, sign in with Roblox so Studs can grab building blocks for your game. That warning is Roblox's normal notice and it is safe. Do not pick "Continue without Roblox," because that stops your game from building.

I asked for something and nothing changed.

Try again with one clear, specific ask, like "add a red button that opens the door." Studs is strongest at scripts and can miss vague or very big requests. Break it into small steps.

How do I stop or cancel a build?

Press the Stop button (the square) while it is building.

What languages can I use?

All languages but English works better.

Publishing to Roblox

Where is my game? How do I open it?

Your game is the code Studs built from your prompt. You get it two ways: Download the file, or Publish it to your Roblox place. Until then it lives in your project on Studs.

How do I publish my game?

When your game is done, click the place button under "Generation complete," then follow "Set up API key to publish" once. After that it is one click.

Do I have to set up the key every time?

No. The Roblox key is a one-time setup. After that, publishing is a single click.

I keep getting "Permission denied."

That is usually the Roblox side, not your key. Finish Roblox's publishing eligibility step, turn on API access in Roblox Settings and Security, and set your place to Public. Then check your key has universe-places:write.

Can I publish without the API key?

Yes. In the same place menu, choose "Download .rbxl" and publish from Roblox Studio instead.

Waitlist & access

How long is the waitlist?

Usually less than a week. Longer between seasons.

Can I skip the waitlist?

Yes. Pro gets you in right away and does not push anyone else back.

I got in but I am still locked out.

Usually a quick fix. Make sure you are logged in with the same account you signed up with, or message us your email and a screenshot.

Plans, credits & safety

Does paying make my game better?

No. Pro gives you more credits, faster builds, and all tools. It does not make the game itself better.

Is Studs safe? Do you get my password?

Yes, it is safe. You log in through Roblox's own site, so we never see your password. The only thing you share, and only if you want us to publish for you, is a Roblox API key.
